His Only Comfort

My son hates going to daycare. I feel sad that I have to leave him there everyday – but I don’t have any choice as a single parent. I have to make a living to provide a good life for him. Of course he’s too young to understand all of this.
The only thing that seems to console him is his ferret stuffed animal. He loves that stuffed toy so much. He’s had it since he was a toddler, so it’s pretty scruffy, but he doesn’t seem to mind. He often asks me when he can get a real ferret. I tell him that he has to be a little bit older. For now, the stuffed ferret will have to do.

Ferrets are very playful and active animals. So if you have them as a pet, you need to give them toys and activities that will channel their energies. One way to have with them is to have a ferret play tunnel. The Marshall Double Fun Tunnel Tent has divided tunnels with holes for your pet to play in. It also has balls with bells for more fun.
It has a strong construction so that the running movements of the ferret will not bring the tent down. It measures 12 inches wide x 20 inches long x 8 inches high. It is very easy to set up and you can take it along on your trips so your ferret will always have something to do. They will have hours of fun running around the tunnel tent.

A ferret is a playful and energetic pet. This is why it is a popular pet especially among children. Of course, because children are known to get too excited sometimes, it is always best to closely supervise a child when playing with his or her pet ferret. There have been cases of ferret bites, especially on infants and younger children.
A ferret is almost a nocturnal animal. They can spend 14 to 18 hours a day sleeping. However, when they are awake, they are so energetic and often want o be removed from their cages. Ferrets enjoy hide-and-seek games. They are known to “steal” some things from you and hide them. This pet also enjoys playing with ferret sports balls.

If you’ve thought about purchasing a ferret as a family pet, be aware that these fuzzy little friends are extremely active. They love to play and be played with, so make sure that this temperament will suit your family.
If you’ve given it thought, though, and a ferret seems like a good fit for your family, there are a few important tips to keep in mind.
Before you actually bring the ferret home, make sure you house is ferret-ready. Have the bed, food, carrier, and other necessities purchased. While these items are imperative to have, it is just as important to make sure you’re stocked with ferret toys.
Again, these animals are playful and need lots of activity to be happy. It’s especially good to purchase toys that will allow you and your ferret to play together such as a ferret sports ball.
But don’t forget to also invest in toys that the ferret can use alone. This way, he can amuse himself when you’re away.
